IT Systems & Infrastructure Specialist

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The IT Systems and Infrastructure Specialist acts as the primary technical authority for REDION ANZ operations, ensuring secure, efficient, and resilient IT infrastructure. The role involves providing immediate 3rd-level support, managing vendor risk, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic plans for business continuity,
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Advisory & Continuous Improvement
Executive Reporting: Report on IT and security to risk, compliance, senior management forums, the Redion Insurance Head of IT and Head of Technology.
Security Posture: Continuously assess the organisation’s IT posture to proactively recommend improvements, methods, and approaches.
IT Governance & Frameworks
IT Service Management: Maintain Jira Service Desk ensure SLA are met
Framework Alignment: Design, implement, and maintain ICT controls aligned with the Group Information & Framework.
Compliance & Standards: Supports alignment with APRA regulations, including but not limited to CPS 230, CPS 232, and CPS 234.
Risk Management & Assurance
· Assessments: Support the business to conduct and record IT risk assessments.
· Governance Support: Support the business to manage Incidents management and the IT GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) board.
· Audit & Supplier Risk: Support internal, external, regulatory, and underwriter audits while conducting third-party IT risk assessments
IT Support & Operations
Escalation Point : IT 3rd level support on all IT issues within the Australian Business Unit, acting as an escalation point until issues are resolved.
24/7 Shift Rotation: Participate in a rotating on-call shift to provide 24/7 IT, desk-side, and general user support where needed during working hours.
Leadership Support: Support the Head of Technology and Head of IT to manage incidents management, escalation points, and the readiness of business products.
Identity, Access & Endpoint Security
Access Control: Manage identity and access controls, including SSO, MFA, and rigorous access recertification.
Endpoint Management: Oversee endpoint security controls, including device enrolment and policy enforcement.
IT Infrastructure & Systems
Technical Oversight: Provide senior technical input across enterprise IT infrastructure and systems, acting as a key reference for security-aligned decisions.
Design & Maintenance: Contribute to the design, review, implementation, and secure operation of IT infrastructure, networks, and core systems.
Hardware & Connectivity: Assist and support the installation, monitoring, periodic maintenance, and configuration of:
Switches, LAN, WAN, and Servers
Data Connectivity Aspects (VPN / Internet)
Access Control Systems and User PCs
Configuration Reviews: Review IT system configurations, office setups to ensure alignment with security, resilience, and regulatory requirements.
Cloud, Applications & IT Security Integration
Cloud Platform Security: Support the security team with security controls across cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and associated identity services.
BAU Integration: Ensure robust IT controls are tightly integrated into system development and Business-as-Usual (BAU) IT processes.
Business Continuity & IT Resilience
Function Ownership: Own the IT Business Continuity Management function, maintaining foundations.
Impact & Recovery: Conduct IT Business Impact Assessments, support IT resilience, and execute disaster recovery planning.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Supplier Relations: Liaise with vendors, IT service providers, and external suppliers to manage support contracts and secure quick issue resolutions.
Corporate Compliance & Governance
Financial & Fraud Policies: Conduct all roles in accordance with EA fraud and corruption, challenge policies (acting honestly and with integrity), reporting any suspected incidents immediately.
Company Standards: Adhere strictly to all Company Policies and Procedures, including Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, Data Protection, Code of Conduct, Security, IT, and Internal Control Financial Regulations.
General Delegations: Undertake any other duty or responsibility reasonably allocated by your manager or the Company’s Senior Management Team.
