About the role
Are you a technically strong tax professional looking for an opportunity to influence tax strategy across multiple markets? We're seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, reporting, and advisory activities across Australia and New Zealand within a complex and internationally connected organisation.
This is a high-impact role where you'll work closely with local and global stakeholders, manage tax risk, support business growth initiatives, and play a key role in ensuring compliance across both jurisdictions.
What the role looks like
· Lead tax compliance, reporting, and advisory activities across Australia and New Zealand.
· Ensure compliance with local tax obligations while managing tax risk and governance requirements.
· Partner with finance, legal, and business stakeholders to provide strategic tax advice and support key business initiatives.
· Support the onboarding of new partners and business integrations from a tax perspective.
· Coordinate with global tax teams to meet group reporting requirements and governance standards.
· Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, assessing impacts and implementing necessary actions.
· Drive continuous improvement of tax processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies across the organisation.
What you’ll bring
· At least 5 years' experience in tax within a multinational organisation, large corporate environment, or professional services firm.
· Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand tax legislation, compliance requirements, and reporting obligations.
· Experience managing complex tax compliance processes and engaging with external advisors and tax authorities.
· Ability to coordinate multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
· Confidence working across borders and partnering with global teams in an international business.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly.
· High levels of integrity, accountability, and sound professional judgement.
· A collaborative and relationship-focused approach, with a proven ability to build trust and influence stakeholders.
· A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
· Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline, with CA, CPA, or CTA qualifications highly regarded.
